Born on December 1, 1929 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert O. Hoyle and Eulalia Wilder Hoyle.Rebecca was a member of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church where she served as librarian for many years, and was a former member of the Evelyn Ayscue Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Timothy J. Burgess.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two sisters, Mildred H. Wood of Raleigh and Betty H. Blue and husband, Edward of Henderson; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Willis Hoyle.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 1 until 2 pm in the Family Life Center at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church. At other times they will be at the home of Betty and Ed Blue at 2033 Weldons Mill Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be her nephews and great nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Family Life Center, 1699 Weldons Mill Road, Henderson, NC27537.
