HENDERSON-Richard Leon McManama, age 74, a resident of 631 Vicksboro Road, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born in Buena Vista, Virginia on June 10, 1939, he was the son of the late Walter McManama and Sadie Staton McManama.He was retired from Fruit Growers Express Railroad Company.
A memorial service will be held Sataurday, April 5, 2014, at 5:00 PM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Johnny Yount.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Price McManama of the home; two sons, Brian McManama and Pat McManama of Leesburg, Virginia; one daughter, Kim Stewart of Lawrenceville, GA; two step-daughters, Jeanette Lincoln of Stafford, VA and Debra Hartley of El Dorado, AR; one step-son, Phillip Brome, Jr. of Modesto, CA; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 5, 2014, prior to the service from 3:30 until 5:00 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.
