Claude Richard Pearce, III, age 33, a resident of 3495 Old Watkins Road, Oxford, died Sunday, June 12, 2011, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born on November 8, 1977 in Vance County, he was the son of Claude Richard Ricky Pearce, Jr. and Tammy Horton Pearce of Henderson.Richard was employed with Pearce Backhoe Service.He was an avid baseball fan, and enjoyed helping assist with his sons ball team. He also enjoyed the sport of boxing and was a professional boxer and was a member of MMA.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Allison Allen Pearce of the home; four sons, Alex Conrad Pearce, Lucky Tyson Pearce, Eli Clyde Pearce, and Zeke Allen Pearce all of the home; one sister, Melissa Pearce Finney of Wake Forest; one brother, Nick Storm Pearce of Henderson; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Horton of Henderson; and his paternal grandparents, Claude Richard Skeeter, Pearce Sr. and Mary Pearce of Henderson; and Priscilla Paynter Pearce of Norlina.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bobby Horton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 3495 Old Watkins Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will beJackson Ellis, Mike Welborn, Joy Tingle, Kyle Wade, Misael Davalos, Dustin Woody, David Inscoe, Sr., Justin Paynter and Chucky Clark.
