Richard "Rick" Garland Snoddy

HENDERSON- Richard Garland “Rick” Snoddy, 76, of Peace Street, died Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at his home. Born November 14, 1949 in Washington, DC he was the son of the late Margaret Eugenia Garland Snoddy and Junius Luther Snoddy.

Rick was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam Era. In retirement, he was appreciated as a good neighbor to all and would lend his “handyman” talents to anyone in need.

To honor his wishes, no services are planned at this time. 

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Boone Snoddy, of the home; his daughter, Jennifer S. Boyd and husband, Russell, of Henderson; five grandchildren, Russell Greenway “Russ” Boyd, III and wife, Evan, Mallorie Boyd Bailey and husband, Will, Blaire Elizabeth Boyd, Lucas Marshall Snoddy and wife, Alaina and Avery Garland Snoddy; and his sister, Carole Jean Curtis of Washington, DC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Patrick “Pat” Snoddy.
