HENDERSON- Richard Glenn Tharrington, 57, of Beaver Dam Road, died Thursday, September 10, 2020 at UNC Hospital.Born in Person County on October 21, 1962, he was the son of Frances Wallace Tharrington of Henderson and the late Joseph Bryant Tharrington.Richard was a United States Army Veteran and was employed with Superior Chrysler as a finance manager.He was a member of Living Stones Worship Center.
A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm in the cemetery of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Johnnie Russell and Rev. John Whitley.
Richard is survived by his wife, Lisa Pegram Tharrington of the home; two daughters, April Sartell and husband Chad, of AR, Hope Lassiter and husband Brian of Oxford; a son, Tyler Tharrington of the home; a sister, Joy Lynn T. Cobb and husband Dean of Henderson; a brother, Joseph Kevin Tharrington and wife Yolanda of CA; and five grandchildren, Savannah, Drew, Noah, Graycen and Hunter.
The family will receive friends at the home of Frances Tharrington (430 Tharrington Lane, Henderson, NC 27536) on Saturday from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
The family requests that attendees at the service and visitation consider wearing a mask and practice social distancing.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Living Stones Worship Center (6096 Tabbs Creek Rd, Oxford, NC 27565).
