HENDERSON- Robert "Bobby" Garland Brummitt, 79, of Bearpond Road, died Saturday, September 11, 2021 at his home.Born in Vance County on September 28, 1941, he was the son of the late Harold Burton Brummitt and Mattie Adcock Brummitt.Bobby was the owner and operator of Brummitt Furniture Barn, an avid golfer and member of Kerr Lake Country Club.
A graveside memorial service will be held Friday at 11:00AM at Sunset Gardens by Rev. Johnny Yount.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Jackie Arrington Brummitt of the home; his daughter, Gina Dianne Brummitt of Baltimore, MD; his son, Michael Robert Brummitt of Henderson; and four grandchildren, Dustin Blake Brummitt, Joshua Lee Griffin, Jasmine Grace Brummitt and Samspon Levi Brummitt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Lynn Brummitt; and three brothers, James Harold Brummitt, Samuel Wilbur Brummitt, Sr. and Herchell Eugene Brummitt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
