Zebulon-Robert Lee Chappell age 67, a resident of NC 39, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Wake Medical Center from injuries received in an accident.
Born in Vance County on March 22, 1947, he was the son of Rev. Charlie Chappell, Jr. of Henderson and the late Mary Aycock Chappell.Robert was a Veteran of the Untied States Army serving during the Vietnam War.He was a retired LPN at Maria Parham Medical Hospital and Granville Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev.Gary Bateman and the Rev. Milton Abbott.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by his father, Rev. Charlie Chappell, Jr. of Henderson; his girl friend, Kristy Evans of Louisburg; one brother, Phillip Wayne Chappell of Henderson; and one sister, Alma Currin Daeke of Henderson; two step children, Danny Jones of Creswell and Tammy Jones of Bunn; one step-sister, Mattie Mosley of Castalia; and one step-brother, Joseph Currin of Henderson.In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Annie Maybelle Harris Currin Chappell; and one step-sister, Betty Jean.
The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Alma and James Daeke, 705 Gun Club Road, Lot 20, and at the home of Phillip and Evelyn Chappell at 85 Freedom Lane, Henderson.
