LOUISBURG-Robert Curtis Gill, 70, a former resident of the Cokesbury Community, and a resident of Franklin Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died Saturday, February 10, 2018.Born in Vance County on September 24, 1947, he was the son of the late John Hunter Gill and Bessie Wortham Gill.He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam.He was retired from Merita Bread Company where he worked for over 30 years, and was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 am at Cokesbury United Methodist Church by Pastor. Julia Alliger and Pastor Will Breedlove.Burial with Military Honors will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by one daughter, Holly G. Pahl (Kevin) of Henderson; one son, Robert Curtis Gill, Jr. (Cyndi) of Youngsville; one grandson, Julian Morris Pahl; one granddaughter, Victoria Lynn Gill; and three brothers, Charles Gill, Fred Gill, and Ricky Gill.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 9:30 until 11:00 am in the Cokesbury United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. At other times they will be at the home of Holly and Kevin Pahl at 4840 US Hwy. 1-158, Henderson, NC.
