HENDERSON-Robert John DeGraff, age 78, a resident of 379 Jackson-Royster Road, died Friday, December 9, 2011 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.Born in Paterson, New Jersey on October 30, 1933, he was the son of the late Gerrit John DeGraff and Mae Thompson DeGraff.
Mr. DeGraff was a retired Electronic Engineer at Day International in Asheville, NC.He was a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church where he taught the Adult Bible Study Class.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7:30 pm at Poplar Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Tony Evans.
He is survived by one sister, Elsie DeGraff Schneider of Henderson.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Crook DeGraff.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night prior to the service from 6:30 until 7:30 pm at Poplar Creek Baptist Church.
