Robert Allen Bob Giddens, age 81, a resident of Henderson died Sunday December 05, 2010. He was a native of Sampson Co. and was the son of the late Henry and Eula Westbrook Giddens and was a widower of Mary Rolison Giddens.Mr. Giddens was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps serving in the Philippines and was the owner and operator of Business Equipment Company and was a member of St. James Catholic Church where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Memorial services will be held Saturday December the 11th at 10:00 am at St. James Catholic Church by Father William Upah.
He is survived by one daughter Phyllis Crandell of Winston-Salem, NC; one son Robert Neal Giddens of Henderson; one sister Shirley G. Thompson of Wilmington, NC; one brother Henry Giddens of Newton Grove, NC; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Allen Giddens.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the St. James Catholic Church Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers may be made to the St. James Building Fund, St. James Catholic Church, 3275 US 158 Bypass, Henderson, NC 27537.
