HENDERSON-Robert "Bobby" Bunyon Gupton, 81, a resident of 1002 Carroll Road, died Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Kerr Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born on January 30, 1938 in Vance County, he was the son of the late David Bryant Gupton and Venie Faulkner Gupton.Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Army and was retired from Americal as Production Control Manager.
He attended North Henderson Baptist Church where a memorial service with military honors will be held Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 3:00 PM by Rev. Frank Sossamon.A private burial for the family will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Oxford at a later date.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Hedgepeth Gupton of the home; one son, Robert Noel Gupton of Texas; one granddaughter, Destiny Jade Gupton of Henderson; two sisters, Phyllis G. Wortham and Betty Jo G. Rogers of Henderson and one great-grandson, Talon Brame.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Hartwell Gupton.
The family will receive friends before the service from 2:00 till 3:00 PM at North Henderson Baptist Church and at other times they will be at the home.
