KITTRELL- Robert Davis Horton, age 62, a resident of 5797 Raleigh Road died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born in Vance County on January 12, 1954 he was the son of the late Will Vester Horton and Florine Roberson Horton.He was medically retired from Purolator and was a former member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Frank Sossamon and Pastor Rufus Edward Fulcher.Burial will follow in the New Sandy Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Horton is survived by his wife, Judy Fulcher Horton of the home; two sons, David Horton of Vicksboro and Adam Lee Horton and wife Carrie of Kittrell; a daughter, Amanda Horton Wilson and husband Lee of Bullock; three grandchildren, Blayton Horton, Kylee Horton and Haley Fulcher; his brother, Marvin Ricky Horton of Henderson and his sister, Audrey Horton Whittemore of Kittrell.
The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service from 12:30 PM till 1:00 PM at J.M. Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home, 5797 Raleigh Road, Kittrell.
Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Fulcher, Newman Roberson, Billy Wilson, Adam Horton, Joe Johnson, Randy Abbott, Jr., Chris Norwood, and Michael Whittemore, Jr.
