Robert Martin Medlin, Sr.

HENDERSON-Robert Martin Medlin, Sr., 78, a resident of Willie Currin Road, died Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Maria Parham Health. Born on May 15, 1944 in Farmville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Alex Woodrow Medlin and Virginia Watkins Medlin. Mr. Medlin was a former salesman for Charles Boyd Chevrolet and was a member of Harriett Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Harriett Baptist Church by the Rev. Will Breedlove. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Edwards Medlin, of the home; one son, Robert Martin Medlin, Jr. (Lauren) of Henderson; one daughter, Faith Renee Oakley (Joseph) of Henderson; two grandchildren, Joseph Wayne Oakley and Ryan Oakley; one sister, Sue Riggan (Henry) of Henderson; and one brother A. W. Medlin (Pat) of Mooresville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Burt Medlin and Tim Medlin; and one sister, Patricia Sanford. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Harriett Baptist Church.
