Robert Ray Moorefield

Robert Ray Moorefield, Sr,. age 80, a resident of 517 Hilliard Street, died Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on January 7, 1932 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Charlie Lee Moorefield and Alma Lee Moorefield. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II.Robert was a retired driver for Ameri-Gas Company and attended Freedom Life Church of God.
Memorial services will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM in the J.M. White Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Jeff Prewer.
Robert is survived by his wife, Ruth Smith Moorefield of the home; a son, Robert Ray Moorefield, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Sharon Vick of Henderson; a brother, Charles Clifton Moorefield of Oxford; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service from 2:00PM to 3:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 517 Hilliard Street.
