HENDERSON- Mr. Robert Lee Overby, age 76, a resident of Edwards Street, died Monday, March 3, 2015.Born in Vance County on October 9, 1938 he was the son of the late Harry Lee Overby and Fannie Taylor Overby.He was retired from Johnson Auto Sales where he was a mechanic.
Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at Sunset Gardens by Rev. Frank Sossamon.
Mr. Overby is survived by a brother Harry Milton Overby; a daughter, Beth Ashley; two sisters, Virginia Pope and Betty Finch; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Overby, Jr.; three brothers, Ronald Overby, Donald Overby, and James Overby; and a sister, Edna O. Roberts.
The family will receive friends at the home of his niece, Lakeeta Vaughan, 1401 Edwards Street, Henderson.
