Robert "Robbie" Milton Short

HENDERSON- Robert "Robbie" Milton Short, 52, of Shorts Lane, died Thursday, October 19, 2023. Born September 2, 1971 in Vance County, he was the son of Sharron Fisher of Wake Forest and Ronald Douglas Short of Melbourne, FL. He worked at Altech as a welder and fabricator. A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shorts Family Cemetery in Norlina by Rev. Jake Roberson. In addition to his parents, Robbie is survived by a son, Ronald Matthew Short of Dunn; three sisters, Melinda Parham and husband, Al of Oxford, Christy Short of Raleigh and Megan Ross and husband, James of Melbourne, Fl; and his step-mother, Nancy Short of Melbourne, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie Robinson Short. The family will receive friends at the family home place, 474 Watson, Road, Norlina, NC 27563. Robbie was a stage IV throat cancer survivor; the family is asking in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Center of Maria Parham Health (C/O Hope Breedlove), 566 Ruin Creek Road, Henderson, NC 27536.
