HENDERSON-Robert Ray Bobby Steagall, age 67, a resident of 396 Lake View Road, died Friday, February 21, 2014, at the Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.Born in Granville County on February 16, 1947, he was the son of the late James Irving Steagall and Margaret Frances Oakley Steagall.He was a Veteran of the U S. Army serving in Vietnam and was a retired civil service worker for the Federal Government at the Defense Depot in Mechanicsburg, PA.He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, The American Legion, and the VFW in Carlisle, PA.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2014at 2 pm at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.
He is survived by one sister, Donna Steagall Hunt of Henderson; one brother, Dale M. Steagall of Henderson; his fiance, Linda Myers of Elizabethville, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday prior to the service from 1 until 2 pm at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.
