Robert Milton Bobby Tart, age 83, a resident of 5753 Raleigh Road, died Monday, August 20, 2012 at his home.Born on March 27, 1929 in Franklin County, he was the son of the late John Bennett Tart and Lucy Morris Tart Parrish.He was retired from Harriett & Henderson Yarns, Inc. and was also a carrier for the Henderson Daily Dispatch and The News & Observer.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Milton W. Tart and wife, Rose of Kittrell, his daughter, Kay Tart Burke of Henderson; his daughter-in-law, Wanda Dickerson Tart of Epsom; his brother, Joe Tart of Henderson; two sisters, Jeanette Brame and Betty Short of Henderson; seven grandchildren, Karen Burke, Jamie Burke, Kevin Tart, Christine Tart, Michael Tart, Barry Tart, and Amy Tart; and thirteen great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Irene Parrish Tart; and two sons, Bobby Lee Tart and Donald Ray Tart.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Curt Pegram, Britt Sams, William Coker, Marty Pulley, Patrick Brame and Chris Brame.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 1242 Dabney Drive, Henderson, NC 27536.
