HENDERSON-Rodney Wayne Patton, age 37, a resident of 589 Dr. Finch Road, died Friday, October 15, 2010 at his home.Born in Vance County on February 2, 1973, he was the son of William C. Billy Patton and Juanita Harris Patton of Henderson.He was a former employee of Harriett & Henderson Yarns, Inc. and was medically retired.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Island Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Jeff Prewer.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kristie Lazar Patton of Henderson; one son, Cody Guage Patton of Henderson; three brothers, Scotty Patton of Henderson; Ricky Patton of Florida, and Steve Patton of Raleigh; and one sister, Regina Patton of Florida.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 589 Dr. Finch Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Eric Stainback, Clint Harris, Donald Harris, Matt Thomas, Phillip Roberson, Ray Matthews, Daryl Colbroth, and Rodney Keeling.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to the Rodney Wayne Patton Funeral Fund, c/o J. M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, N. C. 27536.
