HENDERSON-Ronald Newcomb Edwards, age 57, a resident of 1085 Greystone Road, died Thursday, January 24, 2013, at his home.Born on August 13, 1955 in Vance County, he was the son of Mildred Smith Edwards of Henderson and the late George Newcomb Edwards.He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was employed as an electrician.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. Jeff Prewer.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Beverly Saunders of Richmond, VA, and Kristy Edwards of Orlando, FL; one son, Bobby Saunders of Richmond, VA; one sister, Wendy E. Grissom of Kittrell; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday prior to the service from 1:30 until 2:00 PM at Sunset Gardens.At other times they will be at the home of Donnie and Wendy Grissom at 106 Moss Stock Farm Road, Kittrell, NC. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald Newcomb Edwards Funeral Fund, c/o J. M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Hendeson, NC27536.
