Ronald Layne Roberson

HENDERSON- Ronald Layne Roberson, Sr.,74, of Southern Ave, died Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Maria Parham Health. Born July 23, 1949 in Vance County he was the son of the late Oliver Roberson and Esther Catlett Roberson. He was a retired lieutenant with the Henderson Fire Department. Ronald attended South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of the Henderson Moose Lodge where he served as Governor. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church. Ronald is survived by his wife, Connie Deans Roberson of the home; two daughters, Missy Brame of Kittrell and Dana Bradsher and husband, Jeff, of Henderson; a son, Ronald Layne Roberson, II and wife, Kathryn of Kittrell; eight grand children, Andrew Brame and fiancé, Taylor, Nicholas Brame, Brandon Pendergrass, Kristin Bradsher, Ronald Roberson, III, Chelsea Roberson, Austin Roberson, and Chance Roberson; two great-grandchildren, Kallie Pendergrass and Ronald Layne Roberson, IV; two brothers, his twin, Donald Roberson and wife, Connie and Robert Roberson, both of Henderson; and a sister, Connie Snow and husband, Donald of Henderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Dawn Brame; and two sisters, Barbara Burdick and Janice Roberson. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church and at other times at the home of Missy Brame, 3650 Bobbitt Road, Kittrell, NC 27544. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be current and former members of the Henderson Fire Department and Henderson Moose Lodge.
