Rosa Hope Harris

HENDERSON-Rosa Hope Harris, age 91, a resident of Coventry House died Monday, December 24, 2012 in a local nursing home.Born on May 11, 1921 in Mecklenburg Co. Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Roy Hope and Beauna Henderson Hope.She was a homemaker and a member of Hermon United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Hermon United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bill Haddock.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Harris, Kathy Hedgepeth and husband,Leon, Vanessa Robertson and husband, Michael all of Henderson; one son, W. C. Harris, Jr. and wife, Patricia of Henderson; one sister, Virginia Collins of Henderson; seven grandchildren; Jeffrey Harris, Christa Reavis, Kevin Wilkins, Karen Rummel, Leigh Ann Powell, Amy Radford, and Kaitlin Robertson; and seventeen great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Cheatham Harris, Sr.
The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Barbara Harris at 1556 Lynne Avenue.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Kevin Wilkins, Jeffrey Harris, Bryon Reavis, Adam Rummel, Kevin Radford, Al Powell, and Michael Smith.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Hermon United Methodist Church, c/o Florence Pernell, 3144 Dabney Road, Henderson, NC27537.
