HENDERSON-Rosa Lee Davis Pittman, age 86, a resident of 1107 Eaves Road, died Sunday, July 7, 2013, at her home.Born on April 19, 1927 in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Russell Davis and Eva Boykin Davis, and was the widow of Gary Edwin Pittman.Mrs. Pittman was a homemaker and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Michael Wilkes. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM in Langley Cemetery in Kenly, NC.
She is survived by four daughters, Sylvia Cathy P. Keaton, Bonnie P. Wagner, and Bernice Pittman all of Henderson, and Connie P. Stewart of Springfield, MO; two sons, Ronald Edwin Pittman and Clifton Earl Pittman both of Henderson; one sister, Thelma Bissette of Sims, NC; one brother, Donnie Davis of Sims, NC; nineteen grandchildren; forty-seven great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home in the Epsom Community.
Serving as active pall bearers will be her grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 152 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, NC27537.
