HENDERSON-Rose Cleaton Champion, age 68, a resident of 325 Vincent Hoyle Road, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at her home.Born in Vance County on October 29, 1947, she was the daughter of Mary Robbins Cleaton of the home and the late Milo Cleaton.
Rose was a social worker and a Soldier at the Salvation Army.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm at the Salvation Army officiated by Captain Rick Langley.Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ray Champion of the home; one son, Thomas Ray Champion and wife, Rena of the home; one brother, Sidney Tommy Cleaton of Henderson; one sister, Priscilla Thomas of Murfreesboro; and four grandchildren.She was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Thomas.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Cecil Bowes, Jimmy Lawrence, Jack Robertson, Jordan Stiltner, Chuck Reavis, and Dustin Smith.
