Roy Alex Cameron, Jr.

HENDERSON-Roy Alex Cameron, Jr., 86, a resident of Lightwood Lane, died Monday, December 12, 2022 at Granville Health System. Born September 3, 1936 in Warren County, he was the son of the late Roy Alex Cameron, Sr. and Virginia Champion Cameron and was the widower of Virgie Journigan Cameron. He was retried from Peck Manufacturing Company where he worked as a spinner for 50 years. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Captain Joshua Keaton. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Roy is survived by one daughter, Veronica C. Wilson (Marshall) of Stovall; and one granddaughter, Krista W. Basnight (Torgny) of Stovall; a sister, Mary Dunn of Boydton, VA; two brothers, Rex Cameron of Kittrell and Thomas Allen Ray “Alpine” Cameron of Warrenton. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Paschall and a brother, Johnny Cameron. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 10 AM until 11 AM at J.M. White Funeral Home.
