WARRENTON-Ruby Smiley Faulkner, 91, a resident of 1614 Alert Road, died Thursday, April 12, 2018, at her home.Born on April 24, 1926 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Victor Smiley and Mamie Jones Smiley and was the widow of George Willard Faulkner.Mrs. Faulkner was a homemaker and a member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church in Alert.Her joy was making quilts.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am at Mountain Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Faulkner Family Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Hilda F. Garrett (Skeet) of Henderson; two sons, Charles H. Faulkner (Yvonne) of Warrenton and Kenneth P. Faulkner (Lucy) of Louisburg; five grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 10 until 11 am at Mountain Grove Baptist Church.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Trae Garrett, Jay Garrett, Tom Matthews, Gary Faulkner, Darrel Tharrington, and Billy Hall.
