HENDERSON-Ruth Langley Bissette, age 80, a resident of 310 Vanco Mill Road, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at her home.Born in Nash County on August 18, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William Andrew Langley and Mary Vick Langley Barnes.
Mrs. Bissette was retired from Revlon and was a member of Freedom Life Church Of God.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm at Freedom Life Church of God by the Rev. Jeff Prewer and Joshua Currin.Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery in Nashville, NC.
She is survived by one son, Billy Brake of Oxford; five daughters, Annie Williamson, Queenie Champion, and Teresa Currin of Henderson, Elizabeth Boyd of Oxford, and Felisa Stevenson of Kittrell; one brother, James Langley of Zebulon; one sister, Hattie Camp of Georgia; 24 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Leo Bissette; seven sisters; and four brothers.
The family will receive friends at Freedom Life Church of God prior to the service from 1 until 2 pm.At other times they will be at the home.
