Ruth Sneed Wade

HENDERSON-Ruth Sneed Wade, age 84, a resident of 932 Pine Ridge Road, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on November 20, 1928 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Fred G. Sneed and Lela Wilson Sneed.She was retired from Balls Accounting Service.She was a member of Hermon United Methodist Church where she served as a former Treasurer and choir member.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Hermon United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Yount and the Rev. Bill Haddock.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Dianne Wade Slaughter and husband, Delbert and Elaine Wade Lowry of Henderson; two sons, Edward G. Wade and wife, Pauline of Covington, Kentucky and Irvin A. Wade of Henderson; one sister, Elizabeth S. Libby Fox of Durham; ten grandchildren, Kirk Slaughter, Kenny Slaughter, Kathy Slaughter, Brandy Lowry Hansen, Josh Wade, Justin Wade, Eric Null, Brian Null, Jonathan Wade, and Chelsea Wade; and fifteen great grandchildren, Steve Slaughter, Christan Sims, Hayley Ivey, Gia Marie Hansen, Tyler Wade, Olivia Wade, Justin Wade, Jr., Zachary Wade, Kelsie Wade, McKensie Wade, Jasmine Null, Eric Null, Jr., Cole Null, Bryce Null, and Gabriel Null.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Irvin Wade; one sister, Laurie Sneed Ball and two brothers, Allen Sneed and FredSneed.
The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7:00 until 8:00 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Elaine Lowry, 99 Edward Wade Lane, off Pine Ridge Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Al Wade, Bobby Wade, Jimmy Wade, Ricky Sneed, Al Teel, Frankie Wade, Jim Johnson, and Gabe Ivey.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Hermon United Methodist Church, c/o Florence Pernell, 3144 Dabney Road, Henderson, NC27537.
