Sallie King Mitchell

MANSON-Sallie King Mitchell, age 89, a resident of Universal Health Care of North Raleigh, and a former resident of Manson, died Saturday, November 16, 2013.Born in Halifax, NC on October 7, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Isham King and Gertrude Reid King.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and wonderful friend to many.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 pm at Mt. Auburn United Church of Christ byRev. Richard McBride.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy M. Thompson and husband, Larry of Wake Forest; one son, Wayne Mitchell and wife, Wendy of Manson; one sister Fannie Limer of Warrenton; and two grandchildren, Mitchell Thompson and Sallie Pete Thompson.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings.
