Sandra Waters Massey

HENDERSON- Sandra Grace Waters Massey, 79, of Pollyanna Road, died peacefully December 31, 2024 at her home. Born March 30, 1945 in Lenoir County, she was the daughter of the late Kathleen Small Waters and Julian Owen Waters. She retired from J& J Textiles where she worked as a quality control supervisor. Sandra enjoyed gardening and watching humming birds. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 3, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Gary Brummitt. Sandra is survived by her husband, Dennis Massey of the home; her son, Shane Massey and wife, Jodi of Oxford; her granddaughter, Calli Wolfe and husband, Alex; her brother, William “Bill” Waters and wife, Susie; and her sister, Carol Jean Waters Hughes and husband, Millard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Mary Eliza Jones, Ethel Mae Ipock, Edna Earl Wright, Nettie Finch and Anita Taylor; six brothers, Julian Owen “J.O.” Waters, Jr., John Benjamin “Nig” Waters, James Richard “Blue” Waters, Larry Joseph “Jo” Waters, Glenwood Waters and Danny Waters. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home.
