HENDERSON-Sandra Gail Barnett Waddell, 74, a resident of 609 Roberson Street, died Friday, March 20, 2020, at her home.Born on May 2, 1945 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Louis Barnett and Agnes Mae Riggan Barnett, and was the widow of Sherman Ray Waddell.
Due to the COVID -19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held for the family on Sunday at 3 pm at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. Gary Harper.
She is survived by one daughter, Frances Vargas (Cecilio) of Henderson; one brother, Grover Barnett (Anne) of Oxford; five grandchildren, Erica Dimas, Felicia Dimas, Cecilio Lawson, Gabriela Resendiz, and Mateo Lawson; eight great grandchildren; and her brother-in-law, Phillip Chappell.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy Resendiz; one sister, Lucille Barnett Chappell; and two brothers, Arnold Barnett and Nathan Barnett.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday at Sunset Gardens.At other times they will be at the home.
