HENDERSON- Sarah Reavis Currin, age 77, a resident of Whitmore Retirement Center and former resident of Henderson, died Monday, December 12, 2016.Born in Vance County on September 23, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Archie William Reavis, Sr. and Nannie Floyd Reavis.
She was a member of West End Baptist Church where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3:00 PM by Rev. Ralph McGowen.Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Sunset Gardens.
Mrs. Currin is survived by her daughter, Fran Cawthorne and husband Bob of Henderson; her granddaughter, Ashley Kearney Bean and husband Michael of Henderson; three great-grandsons, Christian Bean, Noah Bean and Levi Bean; two step-grandchildren, Jenna Cawthorne Pulley and husband Will, and Tanner Cawthorne all of Henderson; two step-great grandchildren, Thorne Pulley and Tanner Pulley; and three brothers, Hunter Reavis of Siler City, Sam Reavis and Beverly Reavis both of Charlotte.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester A. Currin; a brother, Archie William Reavis, Jr.; and three sisters, Pauline Reavis Stone, Mary Reavis and Nancy Reavis.
The family will receive friends at the home of Ashley and Michael Bean, 660 Forest Hills Dr, Henderson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dean Reavis, Stephen Reavis, Tom Blanks, Tim Weaver, Will Pulley and J. Brewer Baity, Jr.
