Sarah West Twisdale

HENDERSON- Sarah West Twisdale, 86, died Thursday, September 21, 2023 at her home. Born July 6, 1937 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Rosa Abbott West and Sidney West and was the widow of Lawrence Clifton Twisdale. Sarah worked at the former Nell’s Boutique and retired from Wesco Incorporated Heating and Cooling. She was a member of the former Tabernacle Baptist Church. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, September 25, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Sunset Gardens Cemetery by Rev. Johnny Yount. She is survived by two daughters, Annette T. Cole and husband, Randy and Tammy T. Bliss and husband, Wade of Henderson; two sons, James Douglas Twisdale of Oxford and Lawrence Clifton Twisdale, Jr. of Henderson; eight grandchildren, Jessica Twisdale, Christopher Munn and wife, Nicole, Ashley Faulkner, Laura Taylor and husband, Will, Justin Munn, Dylan Bowen, Jacob Bliss, and Allie Rose Bliss; five great grandchildren, Haven Munn, Stella Munn, Jones Munn, Mason Faulkner and Merritt Taylor; and a sister, Helen W. Clark. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret W. Robertson and Doris W. Frazier; and two brothers, Larry West and Morris West; and a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Twisdale. The family will receive friends at the home of Tammy and Wade Bliss, 1812 Lynne Avenue, Henderson and an official visitation will be at their home on Sunday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
