Sherene Breland Stainback

HENDERSON-Sherene Breland Stainback, age 86, a resident of 525 Allison Cooper Road, died Monday, October 10, 2016, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on August 14, 1930, in Savannah Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John Breland and
Margaret Bond Breland and she was the widow of James Robert Stainback.
Mrs. Stainback was a retired LPN, having worked at the former Pine Haven Nursing Home and Maria Parham Medical Center. She was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church where she was an active member and teacher of the Womens Sunday School Class, a member of the choir and served on numerous church committees.
Funeral services will be held Thursday October 13, 2016 at 11am at Cokesbury United Methodist Church by the Rev. Julia Alliger. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, James Robert Stainback, Jr. of Littleton, John Gilliam Stainback of Henderson, and Richard Wilson Stainback of Durham; one sister, Amoret O’Rouke of Aiken SC; one brother Crews Breland of Augusta GA; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
