HENDERSON- Shirley Beatrice Munn Newton, 82, of Hight Street, died Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Maria Parham Health. Born February 7, 1940 in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Lee Elliott Munn and Sellers Gray Munn. She was a member of Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church and was the former owner and operator of Spring Valley Seafood Market. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 18, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Cleveland Harrison and Dr. Donnie Perkinson. Burial will follow in the New Sandy Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Shirley is survived by four daughters, Wanda Cooper (Ricky), Pam Johnson (Donald), Anita Newcomb, and Betty Ann Gill; three sons, Bubba Newton (Laura), Richard Newton (Kate), and Timothy Newton; her brother, Larry Wayne Munn; 21 grandchildren, Richard Cooper, Jordan Barnes, Heather Tabor, Linwood Newton, Angie Wright, DJ Johnson, Chelsey McCann, Kasey Newcomb, Cameron Newton, Josh Newton, Grace Newton, Matt Collins, Jack Collins, Sean Collins, Timothy Newton, Jr., Justin Newton, Cody Newton, Abby Newton, Amber Horton, Kayla Pierce, Parker Gill; and 16 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Marshall Munn and Harry Truman Munn; and her sister, Pansy Grissom. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Cooper, Linwood Newton, DJ Johnson, Parker Gill, Cody Newton, Justin Newton, Zackery Short, William McCann, and Sam Sanderson.
