Sidney Perry "Sonny" Twisdale, Sr., 70, of 179 Lee Lane, died Monday, August 27, 2018 at his home.Born May 18, 1948, in Vance County, he was the son of the late Charlie Sidney Twisdale and Louise Overby Twisdale.Sonny was retired from Puralator where he worked as a supervisor.He was a member of Gospel Independent Baptist Church where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM by Rev. Robert Greene.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Sonny is survived by his wife, Rosa Williams Twisdale of the home; two daughters, Barbara T. Greene and husband Robert, of Oxford and Kimberly Twisdale Pitman and husband David, of Henderson; a son, Sidney P. Twisdale, Jr. and wife Vicky, of Franklinton; a sister, Dorothy K. Satterwhite of Henderson; ten grandchildren, Chase Greene and wife Rebekah, Cam Greene and wife Megan, Cody Greene, Abby Twisdale, Nicholas Twisdale, Spencer Twisdale, Zachary Twisdale, Jonathan Edwards, Walker Pitman and Bella Pitman; and one great-grand child, Wyatt Greene.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 12:30 till 2:00 at the church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chase Greene, Cam Greene, Cody Greene, Nicholas Twisdale, Spencer Twisdale, Zachary Twisdale and Jonathan Edwards.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gospel Independent Baptist Church, PO Box 1074, Henderson, NC 27536.
