Suzanne Bain Lambert

HENDERSON- Suzanne Bain Lambert, age 65 of Henderson, NC passed peacefully with family nearby on July 1st 2022 at Duke University Hospital. Suzanne Lambert, daughter of the late Pete and Ruth Bain of Norfolk, Virginia is survived by her husband Dennis Lambert; son Taylor Lambert; daughter Kathrine Farrell; son-in-law Thomas Farrell; two beautiful grandchildren Leighton and Claire Farrell, brother Kenneth Bain, brother-in-law Terry Lambert, sister-in-law Karen Lambert and several loved nieces and nephews. Suzanne retired from M.R. Williams located in Henderson, NC after 21 years where she then took on her full-time role as “Nana”. Suzanne’s love of seeing other people happy was her greatest personality trait. It is no surprise that her love language was gifts as she loved shopping and finding the best present to lighten up someone’s face. It was not uncommon to see her out early on weekend mornings searching for that “perfect” yard sale find. The joy it brought her was infectious. When she wasn’t out attending yard-sales around town you could find her listening to Christmas music or watching a Christmas Hallmark movie, it didn’t matter what month it was. Countdowns to Christmas in our house started Dec 26th and she was the first to remind you if you had forgotten. She enjoyed even the simplest things to make you smile. There was never a parking space you couldn’t pull through without hearing her yell “Wee!!” or “Someone’s always leaving”, or a paper straw wrapper that wasn’t blown at you when out to dinner. Suzanne was a light that left a trail of wonderful memories to cherish and talk about. She was an amazing mother, wife and Nana and we will miss her terribly until we meet again. Services will be held Wednesday July 6th at First Presbyterian Church on 222 W Young St. Henderson, NC at 11:00 am by Rev. Matthew Copple. Immediately following the service, family and friends are welcome to meet with the family briefly in the parlor. Special thanks to the staff at Duke University Hospital and all the friends and family who have reached out via phone calls, texts and providing meals.
