HENDERSON-Sylvia Loughlin Hoyle, 91, a resident of 1204 Oakridge Avenue, and also Emerald Isle died Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Croatan Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newport, NC.Born in Brooklyn, New York on July 6, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Dave C. Loughlin and Pearl Heikroth Loughlin.Mrs. Loughlin was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Marion D. Lark.
She is survived by one daughter, Ann Wedemann and husband Pete of Swansboro; two sons, Bobby Hoyle and wife Susan of Henderson, and David Hoyle and wife Mary of Avon Park, Florida; six grandchildren, Courtney Silverthorne and husband Ray of Vanceboro, Christian Wedemann and wife Bobbie of Hubert, Gwendolyn Womble and husband Jimmy Craig of Morehead City, Matthew Hoyle of Charlotte, Cathy Barnett and husband Joe of Greensboro, and Robert Hoyle and wife, Katie of Raleigh.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband A. T. Hoyle.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Bobby and Susan Hoyle at 1613 Parker Lane.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Matthew Hoyle, Christian Wedemann, Robert Hoyle, Jerry Ellington, Eddie Ellington, Johnny Ellington, and Charlie Loughlin, III.
The family would like to extend appreciation to her caregivers who took extremely good care of their mother for the last two and half years, Loretha Evans, Earl Jean Lloyd, and Gloria Robinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 75, Henderson, NC27536.
