Sylvia Stroud Stanton

OXFORD-Sylvia Kay Stroud Stanton, 70, a resident of Walter Hite Road died Saturday, August, 19, 2023 at her home. Born in Wake County on October 23, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Walter Stroud and Darlene Watkins Stroud. Sylvia was a former Branch Manager at the former NCNB in Henderson, and was a retired waitress at Griffins Restaurant in Youngsville and Heritage Golf Course in Wake Forest. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Sunset Garden by the Rev. Terry Howard. She is survived by her husband, James Charles Wilson, Jr. of the home; one daughter, Stephanie S. Vaughn (Randall) of Oxford; three grandchildren, Addisen Goodwin, Kaylee Vaughn and Austin Vaughn; one step-daughter, Brooke W. Goodwin of Oxford; one step-son, Trey Wilson (Jackie Reid) of Chapel Hill; two sisters, Trudy S. Stanton (Willie) of Henderson and Vivian S. O’Neal (David) of Youngsville; and one brother, Steve Stroud (Janice) of Henderson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of Randall and Stephanie Vaughn, 9127 Rueben Hart Road, Oxford, NC.
