MIDDLEBURG-Ted Buchanan, 75, a resident of E. Spain Middleburg Road, died Monday, March 14, 2022 at his home. Born on April 14, 1946 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Carl C. Buchanan and Nettie Biddix Buchanan. He is a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War in the Army Security Agency where he was an O5G, which is a Communications Security/Signal Security Specialist Analyst. He was a licensed electrician where he worked for the former Carolina Electric, Mid-South Electric, Breedlove Electric, where he was part owner and he also worked as the Director of Engineering at Roses Stores Inc. He was a member of Middleburg Baptist Church where he was a member of the Baptist Men, served as a member of Characters for Christ Puppet Team, and formerly served as a Deacon and usher. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 pm at Middleburg Baptist Church by the Rev.Jamie Parker and the Rev. Eddie Nutt. Burial will follow in the Middleburg Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Linda Royster Buchanan of the home; three daughters, Tina Karns (Brian) of Oxford, Jeannie Campbell (Melvin “Jr”) of Henderson, and Debbie Cable (Scott) of Creedmoor; eight grandchildren, Josh Cable (Hannah) Alex Karns, Margo Gasque (Justin), Alyssa Gupton (Hunter), Jenn Cable, Kimberly Campbell, Jason Campbell, and Ashleigh Toaso (John). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ida Pittman, Wilma Boone, and Willie Lester; and two brothers, David Scott Buchanan and Johnny C. Buchanan. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home. Serving as pall bearers will be Josh Cable, Jason Campbell, Jeremy Johnson, Mike Hughes, Trenton Suddreth, Trey Suddreth, Bobby Lowery, and Hunter Allgood.
