HENDERSON- Mr. Thomas Tommy Graham Abbott, Jr., age 43, a resident of 2727 Hwy 158 Henderson, died Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Duke University Medical Center.Born in Vance County on August 24, 1973, he was the son of Linda West Vaughan of Henderson and Thomas Graham Abbott, Sr. also of Henderson.
He was the former grounds keeper at Kerr Lake Country Club.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2:00PM at Stovall United Methodist Churchby Rev. John Yount and Rev. Robert Greene.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his daughter, Morgan Abbott of Henderson; his step father, P.G. Vaughan of Henderson; his brother, Randy Abbott of Henderson; his sister, Keisha Fuentez of Georgia; his step-sister, Jennifer V. Erwin of Birmingham, AL; his step-brother, Jesse Elliott of Townsville and lifetime friend, K. Michael Norwood.
He was preceded in death by a step-sister, Melissa Vaughan.
The family will receive friends following the service on Sunday and at other times they will be home of Linda and P.G. Vaughan, 7625 Hwy 39N, Henderson.
