KITTRELL- Thomas Bryant Anderson, Jr., 36, of Raleigh Road, died Friday, April 8, 2022 at Duke University Hospital. Born October 27, 1985 in Vance County, he was the son of Jettie “Jet” Ayscue Anderson of Oxford and the late Thomas Bryant Anderson, Sr. He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. As an avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed hunting and fishing which he loved sharing with his “special buddy” Drew Woody. He was a member of Lickskillet Hunt Club, the United Kennel Club and Ducks Unlimited. In his youth, Thomas won the State Youth Coon Championship. A graveside funeral will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery by Rev. Tammy Ayscue. In addition to his mother and cousin Drew, Thomas is survived by his fiancé, Jessica Perry of the home; his sister, Jenna Lynn Anderson (Madison Yancey) of Oxford; his niece, Savannah Lynn Yancey; his paternal grandmother, Sylvia Fleming Anderson of Townsville; and three aunts, Kim Brame McGimsey (Jim) of Raleigh, Adrian Brame Woody (Wayne) of Oxford and Sandra A. Terry (Randy) of Roxboro; cousins, Kyle McGimsey, Isabelle McGimsey, Anna Woody, Ruffin Woody, Hannah Davis (Russell) and Reagan Satterwhite; numerous extended family; and his faithful companions Petey, Penny and Flat Rock Kennel Beagles. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Russell Ayscue, Ronald Anderson, Adrian Brame and Mary Ann Brame. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lickskillet Hunt Club, 6776 Vicksboro Road, Henderson, NC 27537 or a wildlife charity of one’s choice. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Milton, Ben Capps, C.J. Harris, Foster Bridges and members of the Lickskillet Hunt Club. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
