HENDERSON-Thomas Theodore Frazier age 78, a resident of 360 Leon Frazier Road died on Monday, January 7, 2013 at his home.Son of the late Leon and Rebecca Rose Frazier, he was born in Henderson, North Carolina on March 30, 1934 and grew up on the picturesque Leon Frazier Farm in the Bearpond Community.
Thomas attended Campbell College as well as Wake Forest College.He was one of the first managers of Kwik Pik, a convenience store in Greenville, NC, which originated out of Henderson. Later he managed several family style restaurants in Raleigh, NC.
He and his beloved wife Ann moved back to Frazier Farm in 1990 to care for his mother Rebecca Rose Frazier. He remained in Henderson after her death.He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Whenever someone was sick or there was a death in the community, he was the first one there with a pan of his hot homemade rolls.He was also known for his wit and humor.
Thomas is survived by his beloved family: wife Ann, sons Teddy and Jonathan and daughter Amy Sue Narron, and grandchildren, Brittany, Aley, Brooke, Savannah, andJon.He is also survived by his brothers, George of Beaufort, NC, and Bill of Raleigh, NC; and sister, Betty Rose Gibbs of Marietta, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church by Dr. Ron Cava.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Church Parlor of First Baptist Church and at other times at the home at 360 Leon Frazier Road.
