Thomas "Tom" Lee Melton

HENDERSON- Thomas “Tom” Lee Melton, 71 of Falkner Lane, died Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Duke University Hospital. Born July 31, 1951 in Lauderdale County, AL, he was the son of the late John Henry Melton and Lucille Putman Melton. Tom retired from the United States Army as a Sergeant First Class. Among Tom’s many hobbies were home improvement, coloring and cooking. He enjoyed a simple morning cup of coffee as much as he did laughing at corny jokes. He lived a beautiful life that included being a dedicated and devoted husband and father to his wife and daughter. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Melton of the home and a daughter, Leahana Melton of the home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
