HENDERSON- Mr. Thomas Gethro "Tommy" Woodard, 60, of 1320 Railroad Street, died Monday, May 6, 2019.Born in Durham County, he was the son of the late Arthur B. "A.B" Woodard and Dorothy Rose Lassiter.He was medically retired from Revlon.Tommy was an avid hunter and fisherman; he had a great love for God, family and friends.He was a member of Crystal River Church of God where funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 10, 2019 by Rev. Ray Anderson.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Teresa Harris Woodard of the home; his daughter, Kimberly Woodard Perkinson and husband, Andy, of Henderson; his son, Cale Woodard and wife, Heidi, of Henderson; six grandchildren, Destiny Faith Woodard, Marlie Pryce Woodard, Adleigh Rose Perkinson, Kyle Walker Satterwhite, Carly Andrea Perkinson, and Callie Brooke Perkinson; and his sister, Glenda W. Bowman and husband, Charles, of Henderson.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 till 3:00 PM at Crystal River Church of God and at other times at the home of Cale and Heidi Woodard, 1200 Weldon’s Mill Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Crystal River Church of God, 305 John Deere Road, Henderson, NC27537.
