Timothy Jay Hawks

HENDERSON- Timothy Jay Hawks, formerly of Norlina, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Transitions Lifecare following a courageous and relentless seven year battle with ALS, he will be missed by many. Born January 13, 1961 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Shirley Ann Lloyd Hawks and Jack Lee Hawks.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Tim is survived by his daughter, Peyton Allison and husband, Steven of Charlotte; a brother, Lee Hawks, Jr. and wife, Linda of Rocky Mount; two sisters, Jan Hicks and husband, James of Cape Carteret; and Faye Grissom and husband, Al of Henderson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kelly Thompson Hawks.
