Henderson-Valara Lee Renn, age 72, a resident of Southerland Mill Road, died Sunday, January 04, 2015, at Duke University Hospital.Born in Vance County on May 7, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Albert Isaac Renn and Mildred Myrick "Berlin" Byrd.
She was a retired customer service representative at BB&T Bank.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. Calvin Hedgepeth.
She is survived by one son, Lin Mabry and wife, Paige of Oxford; one sister, Kathy R. Abbott of Henderson; one brother, Dennis Renn of Henderson; and one granddaughter, Addison Mabry.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Vickie Renn.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral home.
