Valerie Sue Gwynn

DURHAM- Mrs. Valerie Sue Gwynne Gwynn, age 79, a former resident of Henderson, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham. Born November 14,1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Blanche Helen Bruce Gwynne and Earle Philip Gwynne and was the widow of Dr. Don Hill Gwynn. Valerie was a member of The Church of The Holy Innocents in Henderson where a memorial service will be held Monday, December 9, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. by the Rev. Robert Beauchamp. The family will receive friends following the service in the Great Hall at the Church. She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Gwynn (John Patrick) of Henderson; her son, Brian Taylor (Kara) of Durham; five grandchildren, Alexandra Gwynn-Smith (Brian), Dawson Gwynn, Robert Taylor, Jack Taylor and Ava Taylor; and her sister, Sandy Basralian (Peter) of Houston Texas. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Diana Cummings. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N.
