HEDNERSONVirgie Elizabeth Parrish Brooks, 82, of 218 Kirby Lane died Thursday August 23, 2018 at her home. Born in Brunswick County, Virginia on September 22, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Parrish and Ella Louise Bottoms Parrish. She was employed as a seamstress at Warren County Apparels.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday August 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Canaan Cemetery, Canaan Church Road, Brodnax, VA 23920 by Rev. Abidan Shah
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Lawson, Sandra Pitchford, and Donna Brooks all of Henderson; a son, James Michael Brooks of Henderson; 15 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Rodney Brooks; a grandson, and a granddaughter.
