HENDERSON- VirginiaJennie Mae Roberson Faucette, age 87, a resident of 202 Parkview
Drive East, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.Born on May 10, 1924 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Roberson and Mandy Clark Roberson, and was the widow of Allen HENDESON-Virginia Jennie Mae Roberson Faucette, age 87, a resident of 202 Parkview Drive Julian Faucette.Mrs. Faucette was a homemaker and a former employee of Royal Home Fashions.She was a member of Grace Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher for 20 years, and member of the choir.Mrs. Faucette started a Sunday School and Prayer meetings for senior citizens at the Courtyard Apartments.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Ronnie Matthews and the Rev. Raymond Ayscue.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by one daughter, Rose Faucette Edwards of Henderson; one son, Allen Faucette of Kernersville, one sister, Mrs. Effie Blackmon of Henderson; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.She was also survived by one son, Roger Gene Faucette who died on Tuesday,
June 14, 2011 after a brief illness at Franklin Regional Medical Center. She was also preceded in death by two brothers; and one sister.
The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Rose Edwards at 1175 Eaves Road in the Epsom Community.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Steven Joe Wiggins, Gene Reavis, Lee Wiggins, Chuck Wiggins, Brad Wiggins, Al David Roberson, Robert Roberson, and Wayne Roberson.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Vance County Relay For Life, P. O. Box 914, Henderson, NC 27536.
